Pre-College Resources

According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, college graduates earn almost twice as much as workers with only a high school diploma. Attending college is directly connected to higher earnings and lower unemployment rates (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2011). A greater percentage of young adults ages 25-34 who had obtained at least a bachelor’s degree were employed as full-time workers, compared to their peers who had lower levels of education (Aud et al., 2011).


The College Connection Program is focused on students in grades K-12. These grades represent a crucial time frame in the development of students’ academic achievement and behaviors that can improve their readiness to attain a college education. We believe that there must be intentionality to increase college participation in underserved communities and our services are specifically designed to prepare individuals to enter college and persist to college graduation.
