Details
Black males are over-represented in data associated with negative educational statistics such as drop-out rates, retention rates, special education identification, school suspension and expulsion rates. There must be strategic intervention to reverse this data trend in the Rockford Region. Therefore, College Connection Literacy and Leadership Session 2020 is focused on males of color in Grades K-1 from the Black Hawk Courts housing community and the Lewis Lemon school community.
